ABOUT MEGAN WHITE

Megan is a customs consultant, with over 40 years' experience in both the Australian Customs Service (now Australian Border Force) and the private sector. Specialising in trade compliance, import/export, operations management, education and trusted trader applications.

Megan's industry experience spans across government, private sector, professional services and most recently with an NFP peak industry association, covering all aspects of compliance across the supply chain.


In her previous role as Regional Manager for the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA), Megan was responsible for the management of members' issues through advocacy work with the regulators. She also effected strong business development through gaining new members and sponsorship to be involved in National and Regional Conferences, as well as social events. 


As the Compliance Trade Manager for a mid-tier accounting firm, she consulted in all customs international trade matters, as well as identifying over/under payments of duties paid through data analysis.

Megan also utilised her excellence in management, networking and supporting the future generations of the industry by lecturing at TAFE for over a period of 17 years. During this time Megan was also tasked with setting and assessing examination papers for the National Customs Brokers Licensing Course, whilst keeping up to date with the current standards and industry relevant legislation.


During her time at Australian Customs Megan worked in many and varied positions in sea and air, import clearance, securities, valuation, training and IR. She uses her vast knowledge base of both the private and government sectors to give the best to her clients and their organisations.
